Frank & Larry’s Northwoods Shanties are back for outdoor winter dining and cozier than ever! This season, tap into your inner Wisconsinite and embrace the great outdoors in a private shanty. Handcrafted by KMS Limited in Eagle River, these shanties bring the authentic winter experience to the heart of the Tosa Village (sans the frozen lake)!

What’s better than one espresso martini? How about four! Featuring Ketel One vodka and State Line’s award winning coffee liqueur, these martinis are served up nice and frothy. Perfect for a little pick me up anytime of day.
If you choose the Nitro Espresso Martini Tree as part of your two complimentary beverage choices, you will be charged an additional $15. If you choose the Nitro Espresso Martini Tree in addition to your complimentary beverage choices, you will be charged an additional $50.
Teddy Bear Picnic Mule Package $38
4 of the most gregarious and squeezable teddy bears you ever did meet, each filled with a subtly sweet and refreshing blend of Rehorst Citrus Honey vodka, cranberry, lemon, and a dash of honey, served with a splash of Top Note ginger beer.
Spruced Up Buckatabon Old Fashioned Package $42
Celebrate and survive the season with this festive take on our traditional Old Fashioned which includes the cinnamon-apple laced Holiday edition of our Exclusive Buckatabon Brandy, along with Good Land Cranberry liqueur, Lowlands bitters, and a hint of maple syrup.

Barrel-Aged Cherry Bourbon Manhattan Package +$15-$55
Still & Oak Bourbon and vanilla bean infused Good Land Cherry liquor are aged for several weeks in our Buckatabon oak barrel making it one of the smoothest manhattans around. Served over a big ice cube.
If you choose the Barrel-Aged Cherry Bourbon Manhattan Package as part of your two complimentary beverage choices, you will be charged an additional $15. If you choose the Barrel-Aged Cherry Bourbon Manhattan in addition to your complimentary beverage choices, you will be charged an additional $55.

How to Book Your Shanty
STEP 1
Choose your reservation date and time, and enter the amount of people for your reservation.

Pick your complimentary beverage packages—each reservation includes 2 free packages!
STEP 3
Add any additional beverage packages or an exclusive food package to be ready upon arrival (these are paid for at the end of your reservation!)

Preparing for Your Reservation
What does a pre-booked reservation include?
Each reservation secures a private, heated shanty for up to 6-8 guests for a 90-minute time slot, plus two free*, pre-ordered beverage packages (serve up to 4 people each) for your group. *The Nitro Espresso Martini Tree is subject to an additional fee of $15 if chosen as part of your two complimentary beverage package selections. Please read each beverage package description carefully before booking.
How do we preorder our food?
In order to accommodate the supper club experience in the 90-minute reservation, we ask that you preorder your food prior to your reservation date. You can view our menu here, and then enter your order when you book your reservation.
How many people can fit in a shanty?
Shanties can comfortably fit up to 6-8 people with bench-style seating. Please contact us at BuckatabonWinter@lowlandsgroup.com with any questions regarding group size.
When should we arrive for our reservation?
We ask that your party arrives 5 minutes early to check-in prior to your reservation time. Please do not arrive any earlier, as there is not a waiting area. If your party shows up late for the reservation, we unfortunately cannot extend the length of your rental.
Are there age requirements for the shanties?
Guests of all ages are allowed in the shanties. Our restaurant policy is that only guests of, or over the age of 21 are able to consume alcoholic beverages.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes—pups are allowed in the shanties!
The shanties are heated, but how should I dress?
The shanties are equipped for the ever-changing seasons Wisconsin offers to allow for outdoor winter dining. These unique spaces are outfitted with infrared heating and fresh air recirculation. Please come dressed with a hat, gloves, and a few layers that you can adjust to your own individual comfort level. Heck, bring a snuggly blanket! If you need to adjust the temperature in your shanty, please let your server know.
Can I edit my food or drink selection after making the reservation?
Yes, you may add or delete any pre-ordered food or drink selections at any time before 24 hours of your reservation by emailing BuckatabonWinter@lowlandsgroup.com, making sure to include the booking confirmation number found in your original confirmation email.
During Your Reservation
Is smoking and vaping allowed in the shanties?
Absolutely not—it is prohibited by Wisconsin law. Any guest found smoking or vaping will be asked to leave immediately along with their entire party, with no refund granted. Open flames of any kind are also not allowed on our patios or in the shanties.
What happens if we damage the shanties?
The shanties are inspected and cleaned after every party, and though unlikely, a fee of up to $200 may be added should any evidence of damage be found after your visit. This includes damage to the interior, exterior, or decor.
Can we bring our own tunes?
You may play music in your shanties, but please keep the music at an appropriate volume so as not to disturb your shanty neighbors.
Can we bring outside food and drink?
No outside food or beverage is allowed in the Northwoods Shanties and sneaking anything in makes your group subject to being asked to leave before your reservation end time.
Can we order off the regular Buckatabon menu during our reservation?
Yes. In addition to the drink packages that you select when you book your reservation, we ask that you preorder your food to make the reservation as seamless as possible. However, you may also order additional items off food and beverage menu during the first 45 minutes of your visit.
Cancellations, Rescheduling, & Payment
What if I need to reschedule?
As long as it is before 24 hours of your reservation and we have additional booking slots open, you may reschedule your reservation. You may modify your reservation by emailing BuckatabonWinter@lowlandsgroup.com, making sure to include the booking confirmation number found in your original confirmation email.
Cancellation policy
If you need to cancel your reservation, you will need to email BuckatabonWinter@lowlandsgroup.com. If your cancellation is at least 24 hours in advance, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations, refunds and reschedules will not be accommodated within 24-hours of your booking date.
What happens in case of inclement weather?
As expected with outdoor winter dining in Wisconsin, in the case of extreme cold, blizzards, or dangerous icy conditions, we may need to cancel reservations to ensure safety and your comfort level. In these cases, you will be notified via email about an option to reschedule your booking or receive a complete refund. We will make every attempt to make the cancellations well in advance of your reserved time, but reserve the right to make fully-refunded cancellations in the case of emergent weather conditions at any time.
Can we split the cost on multiple cards or use a Lowlands gift card?
The online booking system requires a single credit card payment at the time of booking your reservation. When settling your final food and drink tab during your reservation, you can pay with a Lowlands Gift Card.
Does my payment earn Lowlands Rewards loyalty progress?
It sure does! The reservation payment may be applied towards Lowlands Rewards loyalty progress by uploading a picture of your booking receipt (sent via email) in the Lowlands Rewards app. Anything ordered and paid for during the reservation will apply to Lowlands Rewards loyalty as usual: if your card is linked it will automatically be applied to your loyalty progress, or you can take a picture of your receipt and upload it in the app.
